Running a business can sometimes feel like a continuous cycle of reacting to the day-to-day. That is why community support and continuous learning are so vital for growth.
At the Do Business Network, we do not just connect local business owners—we invest in helping each other level up through practical, peer-led training.
Putting Marketing in Perspective
A shining example of this collaboration came from our September session, where Allison Dore from Hello Friday delivered an engaging, pressure-free workshop entitled 'Moving Beyond Random Acts of Marketing'.
Allison’s session challenged attendees to look at marketing through an entirely fresh lens, breaking strategy down into three core components: jobs, bridges, and rhythm. Participants evaluated their current approaches independently, leading to fantastic feedback from our members, such as this review from Jan and Beth at Jan Cook Wills and Trusts:
"Beth and I thoroughly enjoyed Allison's recent training session on 'Moving Beyond Random Acts of Marketing.' Allison made it a very relaxed session and engaged us all through small activities, but with no pressure. The session examined marketing from a totally different perspective and it was interesting to consider what we do in each of the three parts: jobs, bridges and rhythm... The handout available at the end of the session has been very useful for reviewing the system and helping us stay on track. Great session and would thoroughly recommend."
