The Steadfast Group has announced a sponsorship of Consett FC as the Northern League Division One side bids for promotion. The company is supporting the table-topping North West Durham side in what is hoped will be a successful season but is already in talks over a long-term commitment to the Steelmen.
Steadfast’s business development manager Mike McGaun, believes the move will be important in raising the company’s profile west of the city of Durham.
He said: “I come from out that way and I know from personal experience that the football club is very much a community club which puts people first and that’s very much like Steadfast, which is a family-run firm.”
Consett FC chairman Frank Bell said: “We are delighted to welcome Mike and Steadfast on board and hope they will enjoy a long and successful association with us.
The Steadfast Group is a leading supplier of Security Industry Services and also provide Electrical Contracting, Green Solutions, Haulage and Storage.
