We are absolutely delighted to welcome another new member to the Do Business Network: Tom Lawlor, who is an Account Executive at H&H Insurance Brokers.
If you haven't met Tom yet, you are in for a treat. He has a brilliant, bubbly energy, a great sense of humour, and a genuine passion for getting stuck into our local business community.
Tom is seven years into his insurance career, with a massive amount of experience across broking, claims, and consultancy. He joined the North East team at H&H in January 2025, but he has also worked in sports, holiday lettings, and business development over the years, so he brings a brilliant, varied perspective to the network.
For Tom, insurance isn't just about ticking boxes or selling a policy. He looks at it as being a proper consultant and a supportive partner for your business. We all know how daunting, complex, and frustrating insurance can be—especially at the moment with costs shifting. Tom’s main goal is to take that massive headache completely off your plate so you can focus on what you actually enjoy: running your business.
One of his absolute favourite parts of the job is the sheer variety of people he gets to meet. He can be visiting a factory floor one day and walking through a boutique hotel the next, making sure every single business gets a properly tailored setup.
The team he works with at H&H Insurance Brokers has been looking after clients across the North and the Scottish borders since 1987. Because they work with over 100 insurance partners, they can cover pretty much any trade or sector you can think of. They are particularly well-known for their strong roots in the rural and agricultural sectors, as part of the H&H Group.
When he isn’t busy protecting businesses with the team at H&H, Tom is a proud husband and dad. He spends his time walking Moon, his five-year-old Shih Tzu, visiting various local coffee shops, or training for Strongman competitions. He took up the sport last year and now travels all over the country competing in events.
As Tom brilliantly put it: "If you need your insurances sorting, or have a large rock in your garden requiring relocation, you now know who to call!"
