In August, we have our annual Wag & Walk—a great opportunity to bring along your four-legged friend for a nice walk and meet other business owners in a more relaxed environment.
We are meeting on Tuesday 18th August at the Land of Oak & Iron in Winlaton Mill for a morning of fresh air, a gentle walk, and good conversation.
The summer months are ideal for getting away from the desk, and these informal walks offer a brilliant, pressure-free environment to catch up with familiar faces and meet new people. Best of all, you absolutely do not need a dog to come along—everyone is welcome!
Event Details
Date: Tuesday 18th August 2026
Time: 8:30am – 10:30am
Meeting Point: The main car park at the Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre
Investment: FREE for everyone to attend (just bring along some pennies for a cuppa at the end)
What to Expect
We will meet in the car park at 8:30am before heading out together. Our route will take us along the clear, guided footpaths of the old railway line, surrounded by the beautiful local woodland.
It is a completely informal setup. There are no pitches or structures—just a casual walk and chat where you can talk about business, share advice, or simply enjoy a bit of downtime with a supportive community of like-minded people.
Coffee and Catch-up
After completing our loop, we will head back to the Heritage Centre cafe around 10:00am. We will grab a coffee, tea, or a bite to eat, giving everyone another chance to sit down and chat comfortably before we head off for the rest of the working day.
Whether you want to bring your dog or just fancy a morning stretch and some good company, we would love to see you there.
