The initial two-year agreement will see the GAS brand emblazoned on the front of club’s famous red and white shirt, as well as the new away shirt. The organisations are long-standing partners and GAS is also a supporter of the Foundation of Light and has contributed to other club events and hospitality.
Great Annual Savings Group (GAS) and Sunderland AFC have been working together for three years. The Group won a competitive tender to provide energy procurement and management consultancy to the club in 2017, before cementing the relationship as a corporate hospitality customer and supporter of the Foundation of Light.
Since then, GAS has handled SAFC’s energy obligations and compliance, as well as efficiency consultancy across the Stadium of Light, Beacon of Light and Academy of Light.
The deal will also see GAS on the front of the club’s Under 23s shirt and all adult and junior replica.
The shirt designs are due to be revealed in coming weeks, along with other initiatives and competitions to be held between the organisations for the benefit of Sunderland supporters and businesses.
