Following our update earlier last month, we wanted to keep you informed on our progress with the new DBN mentoring programme.
Mentoring was the most requested addition to our calendar in the last member survey. We are committed to getting this right, which is why we have officially started the pilot phase this month. This trial allows us to test the format in a real-world environment to ensure that, when we launch on 1st April, the sessions are as productive and straightforward as possible.
The Pilot Phase
We are currently running a pilot session to refine how our peer-led support works in practice. This involves bringing together a business facing a specific hurdle with established DBN members who can offer an outside perspective.
By testing the format now, we can ensure that the transition from identifying a problem to finding a solution is seamless. It is about making sure the process is polished and the time spent is highly productive for everyone involved.
A Recap of What’s Coming in April
As a reminder, we are building two distinct ways for you to access and share expertise within the network:
Small Group "Boardrooms": These are focused, one-hour sessions every two months where 4 or 5 members can discuss challenges in a supportive environment. It is a chance to get honest feedback from people who understand the local business landscape.
"A Problem Shared...": A dedicated segment during our regular events. This is a direct, peer-to-peer format where you can explain a specific hurdle and get immediate input from a partner. No fluff—just practical, member-led support.
Next Steps
The insights from our current pilot will help us finalise the structure of these sessions. Our goal is to ensure that DBN mentoring provides the specific, practical advice you asked for to help move your business forward.
We will share more details on how to get involved as we get closer to the April launch. Thank you for your continued feedback as we build a network where every business can thrive.
