Play the night away with fiendishly family-friendly fun in our 1950s welfare hall.
Our cobbled Edwardian street is home to more than just our townsfolk at Halloween, meet the newest inhabitants and enjoy some enthralling entertainment across the museum.
No tricks here, just delicious treats from Herron’s Bakery, Jubilee Sweet Shop and The Sun Inn. We will also have a number of our catering outlets open, with delicious refreshments to sink your teeth into…

Exclusively available to Halloween Evening event ticket holders, arrive early and kick start your evening with a film, before exploring the museum from 5pm. Event Information/Terms and Conditions
Tickets for Halloween Evenings must be pre-booked online (subject to availability) and will not be available to buy at the museum. Beamish Unlimited Passes and Friends of Beamish memberships are not valid for evening events.
Event Cinema tickets must be accompanied by Halloween Evening entry tickets for the same evening.
If you need a carer’s ticket, please book the rest of your party online and then call 0191 370 4306 and quote your reference number to book a carer’s ticket. Evidence of eligibility for carers status must be shown at the point of admission, examples of evidence include Blue Badge, Access Card, PIP letter, Government issued Disability card or equivalent.
Free parking is available in the main car park.
Visitors are not able to hire motorised scooters from the museum for this event. They are however able to bring their own.
No animals are allowed at evening events, except for assistance dogs.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Visitors are advised to wrap up warm, bring a torch and wear sturdy footwear.
Halloween Evening tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for an alternative date or event.

Monday, 27th October 2025, 3.30pm – THEM! (1954) (PG) The earliest atomic tests in New Mexico cause common ants to mutate into giant man-eating monsters that threaten civilisation.
Wednesday, 29th October 2025, 3.45pm – Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) (PG) A strange prehistoric beast lurks in the depths of the Amazonian jungle. A group of scientists try to capture the animal and bring it back to civilisation for study.
Friday, 31st October 2025, 3.45pm – Plan 9 From Outer Space (PG) (1958) Evil aliens attack Earth and set their terrible ‘Plan 9’ into action. As the aliens resurrect the dead of the Earth, the lives of the living are in danger.
Event Cinema tickets must be accompanied by Halloween Evening entry tickets for the same evening. These tickets must be pre-booked online (subject to availability) and will not be available to buy at the museum. Beamish Unlimited Passes and Friends of Beamish memberships are not valid for evening events. If you arrive for your Cinema booking and have not pre-purchased Evening event tickets for the same evening, you will not be able to purchase on the night and your Cinema tickets will not be applicable for refund.
Please note: For the duration of the film screening, guests will be required to remain inside the cinema building, whilst the museum is being transformed for a Halloween-themed event. If you choose or need to leave before 5pm, you will be escorted to the main entrance and re-join the queue for the evening event.
