We're delighted to extend a warm welcome to our newest member, Kris Kennedy, the Club Secretary at Consett and District Golf Club.
Nestled in the picturesque Derwent Valley, the club has been a cornerstone of the community since 1911. Its stunning 18-hole parkland course, redesigned by the legendary Harry Vardon, is a testament to its commitment to excellence.
While celebrated for its top-tier golfing, Consett Golf Club is more than just a course. It's a hub for the community, with a friendly atmosphere and a welcoming 'The View' bar and food area. It’s also worth noting that the club is open to everyone, so even if you don’t play golf you can pop in for lunch and drinks anytime.
When asked what he's looking for from DBN, Kris told us: "I'm really looking forward to making new connections in the local business community. Already Melanie has introduced us to Chris from 121 Business Links and DBN was recommended to me by Christine from Building Self Belief. I love the willingness to help each other vibe I'm getting and I'd love to be able to offer help in return."
We're thrilled to announce that our February 2026 network meeting will be held at the club! We look forward to gathering in their beautiful clubhouse to network and enjoy the inviting atmosphere.
