What an incredible evening we had last night at Do Business network's first-ever Summer BBQ! Over 50 fantastic local business owners gathered at the picturesque Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club, and it truly was an event to remember. The sun was shining brightly, creating the perfect relaxed atmosphere as we networked and enjoyed the stunning views overlooking Derwent Water.
We're still buzzing from the energy and connections made, and it wouldn't have been possible without some truly amazing people.
A huge thanks goes out to Neve and Jen who expertly manned the bar, ensuring everyone had a refreshing cold drink in hand throughout the evening. Their efficiency and friendly service were spot on!
Our taste buds are still thanking the wonderful ladies who catered and manned the BBQ. Those burgers were absolutely delicious – a real highlight of the evening!
Special appreciation to the boat team who acted as absolute gents, expertly taxiing us to and from the Drascombe. And a massive thank you to the Drascombe captain who provided a truly wonderful sailing experience around the reservoir. It was such a unique and memorable part of the event!
We'd also like to extend a sincere thank you to Ian Ramshaw from Mirror Finish Detailing for arranging the presence of two beautiful Porsches and for sharing insights into his expert detailing service. They certainly added an extra sparkle to the event!
And finally, a huge shout-out to Rob Richardson, DRSC Club Manager, who took the entire night in his stride and oversaw everything with impressive calm and professionalism.
The feedback we've received has been absolutely amazing, and we're thrilled to confirm that this will become an annual fixture! Get ready, because we'll be doing it all again next year, making it a firm annual summer DBN BBQ.
