At KAFFEEHAUS, giving back to our local community has always been extremely important to us and we're proud to be regular supporters of Point North.
This July, we're stepping it up and taking on their 38.7 miles in July fundraiser to help raise awareness and funds to support the 38.7% of children who are growing up in poverty in County Durham and Tees Valley.
For every £100 raised, together we can:
Help 5 people attend a class or activity that brings joy or teaches something new
Support 8 young people to develop their talents and build a brighter future
Provide 12 hot meals for children and families during school holidays
“Thousands of children in our own communities are falling behind through no fault of their own. As the cost of living continues to rise, more families than ever are struggling to get by. The need is urgent and growing. This challenge gives all of us a way to do something about it,” said Michelle Cooper, Chief Executive at Point North.
Point North has backed grassroots community projects across the region for the last 30 years providing vital help to our local communities. In the last year alone, they have supported over 53,000 children and young people with meals, safe spaces, and opportunities to grow, learn and an enjoy their childhood.
We're proud to get our steps in to raise awareness for one of our Charity Partners. Every mile helps to provide: food, uniforms, bedding, holiday clubs, lessons, and more.
Or why not join in the fundraiser yourself - there is plenty of time left and Point North in partnership with CCLA, are inviting people from across the North East and beyond to move for change. Whether you want to walk, run, cycle, swim or dance the 38.7 miles, you can complete you 38.7 miles across the month in whichever way you see fit!
Thank You for all your support and please make sure to follow us on socials for our fundraiser updates!
