"I hate business networking…" For many of us it simply doesn't feel comfortable to go into a room filled with strangers who perhaps already know each other and then try to break into their conversations and tell them something about your business.
If this sounds familiar, this is the workshop for you.
We'll have three experts to help you get the most out of networking events without trying to turn you into an extrovert. We'll also bust the myth of the "professional networker".
Colin Ellis will help you to turn your introversion into a great networking asset. Suzanne Milbourne will help you to relax and handle networking situations better and Gillian Fortune will help you to boost your confidence when networking.

DO YOU SELL WITH HEART?
Hello there, I’ve just released dates for the next Selling with Heart workshops which are May 3rd, June 26th and July 22nd.
The workshop is designed to help small business owners, who despite knowing sales make the money in business, dislike the idea of selling or feel uncomfortable.
My aim with this workshop is to help shift our mindset and by the end of morning we will have covered the seven steps in the sales conversation and leave delegates understanding that they aren’t ‘getting’ from clients but ‘giving’. Everyone will leave with fresh ideas and a fresh perspective that will have a real impact on their sales strategy.

The Team at Building Self-Belief
The Steel Town 20 - Saturday, 18th May 2019
The Steel Town 20 is a 20 mile walk around the Derwent Valley. It is also the flagship walk of the Consett Hiking Group and a celebration of the fantastic countryside that surrounds us.
This will be the 3rd Steel Town 20 and we expect around 200 participants. Most will walk the 20 miles but those not wanting to walk that far can choose to walk 7 or 12 miles and end there.
The route begins and ends at Allensford. Heading up the Derwent Valley towards Comb Bridges and Crooked Oak before turning towards the Derwent Manor and dropping down to Shotley Bridge.
From here we follow the river along to Newlands and then Ebchester along to Blackhall Mill. We head up out of the valley and join the Derwent Walk leading us back to Consett over the site of the Old Steelworks and then down to Allensford.
After the event, participants will be transported to Consett Cricket Club where food will be available as well as drinks and evening entertainment in a marquee.
All participants will receive certificates and food as well as entry into the event for an entry fee of £10.
